It’s entirely unbelievable – and incredibly lucky – that I first crossed paths with Alley ten years ago when I was the CTO of a small media company. Our COO was Matt and Austin’s former boss at the Observer and he introduced me to Austin over lunch. I took a chance on this small, unknown three person company to build a couple of foreign language sites, and they did an excellent job and delivered on time!
My first experience with Alley left a great impression, and a couple years later when there was a position for me, I jumped at the chance to join. They were still a small six person agency, but one that was quickly gaining bigger and more challenging clients. Things took off from there pretty quickly and I was really honored to become the third partner in 2014. Now we’re over 75 people spread out across twenty states and four countries, so it really blows my mind how far we’ve come in a decade.
I’m more of a visual storyteller, so I’ll keep this post short. In honor of our ten year anniversary, I created a tribute to everyone that helped to get us to where we are today and also captured some thoughts on what’s next. Enjoy!
