Alley’s core company values of quality, transparency and accountability closely align with the values of Scrum and, more broadly, the principles of agile software development. However, recent events have led us to consider how the practice of Scrum also supports our community values – radical candor, psychological safety, asynchronous communication, diversity, and inclusion.
Alley is a fully remote company, and we’ve been so since the beginning. We believe it’s an incredibly powerful way to work that allows for amazing opportunities for organizations and employees both.
But how do we do it? This is a question we’ve been asked countless times over the years, and we thought it would be a great idea to share our philosophy with the world. The Result? Our latest piece – “Welcome to the World of Tomorrow.”
It’s an in-depth guide into our philosophy and logistics of remote work, with tips and suggestions for implementing your own remote option. We cover some of the tools we find most useful, our approach to hiring, communication, personal connection, and more. We’re excited to hear what you think of it!
You can download it at the link below, and you can also stay subscribed to our blog – we’ll be sharing excerpts from each chapter over the coming weeks.
